A Heart For Art is a creative enrichment company designed to help children discover the joy, confidence, and curiosity that come from creating with their own hands.
We provide engaging after-school experiences that combine art, STEM, engineering, and hands-on making in a supportive environment where children are encouraged to explore, experiment, and create without the pressure of perfection.

Why We Exist
These days, children spend more time than ever interacting with screens and often have few opportunities to build, make, imagine, and create with their hands. At the same time, many school programs have limited time and resources for creative exploration.
A Heart For Art was created to help fill that gap.
We believe creativity is not reserved for artists or especially talented children. It is human nature to create. Every child should have opportunities to work with materials, solve problems, make mistakes, try again, and experience the satisfaction of turning an idea into something real.
More Than An Art Club
Our programs go beyond traditional arts and crafts. Many of our projects include engineering, design, building, and problem-solving elements that allow students to experience STEAM concepts through creativity.
Projects are broken into manageable steps so students can build confidence as they work. Children are also encouraged to adapt their designs, help classmates, share ideas, and take pride in their individual creative choices.
The goal is not for every project to look perfect or identical.

Create With What You Have
One of our core beliefs is that creativity should be accessible.
Beautiful and interesting things do not always require expensive materials. Cardboard, paper tubes, containers, fabric scraps, bottle caps, and other everyday items can become the starting point for imaginative projects.
By incorporating found and familiar materials, we help children begin to see creative possibilities in the world around them.
Our Philosphy
We believe children should have opportunities to create simply because creating is valuable.
Not every hobby has to become a business.
Not every creation has to be perfect.
Not every project has to become a product.
Sometimes the reward is simply the experience of imagining something and bringing it to life.
At A Heart For Art, we want to help nurture a generation of confident, curious creators who understand that creativity belongs to everyone.
Our Founder
After more than 20 years in public education, I created A Heart For Art to give children a welcoming place to step away from screens, work with their hands, and enjoy the creative process. Through art, STEM, and hands-on projects, students build confidence, solve problems, and discover what they can create one step at a time. My goal is for every child to leave feeling proud, encouraged, and excited to create again.
We believe it is human nature to create.
